Yorba Linda's New Restaurants: What's Actually Open and What's Still "Coming Soon"

"It is all artisan-focused, hands-on, and old-world techniques with dry curing and dry aging. From my side, it is kind of an ambitious project, but it is one that I have been working on for a long time, and it is finally coming to fruition."

Nick Saba told What Now Orange County this in February 2026 while describing The Artisan by Terra. The butcher shop, deli, and café is being built at 4893 Main Street, directly across from Terra Wood Fired Kitchen at 4884 Main. At the time, he was aiming for a mid- to late-summer opening and said the timeline could shift. Summer ended on September 22. On September 8, the City of Yorba Linda's business roundup still had The Artisan under "Coming Soon."

The Artisan isn't the only project in that position. Over 2026, Yorba Linda's new places to eat have opened in shopping-center storefronts on Yorba Linda Boulevard and Imperial Highway. The two projects announced for Main Street itself have gone from "under construction" to "coming soon" with no confirmed opening date. If you're picking a place to eat this weekend, that difference tells you which list to trust.

Two City lists, three months apart

The City posts its "Shop, Dine, and Support Yorba Linda Businesses" update every few months. Comparing the June 9 and September 8, 2026 editions shows which projects moved and which didn't.

Business Location June 9, 2026 status September 8, 2026 status
Sourdough & Co. Yorba Linda Town Center, 18341 Imperial Hwy Open Not listed again
Bell's Head Spa Yorba Linda Town Center Open Not listed again
SHO Handroll Bar 18657 Yorba Linda Blvd Coming soon Open
Pizza Guys Near Yorba Linda Blvd and Lakeview Ave Not listed Open
Angelica's Table Yorba Linda Station Shopping Center Coming soon Coming soon
Broken Yolk Café Main Street Under construction Coming soon
The Artisan by Terra 4893 Main St Under construction Coming soon
Pilates Addiction Eastlake Village Center Coming soon Coming soon
Slick City Savi Ranch Coming in 2027 Coming in 2027

Over the summer, SHO Handroll Bar moved from "coming soon" to open, and Pizza Guys opened without ever appearing on the coming-soon list. Both are on Yorba Linda Boulevard near Lakeview Avenue. Both got their city business licenses in July 2026, according to the City's monthly new-business list. In the same three months, both Main Street projects only changed from "under construction" to "coming soon."

What opened, and where

The four businesses confirmed open this year are all in commercial buildings that were already there.

SHO Handroll Bar is at 18657 Yorba Linda Boulevard. In June, the City described it as a counter-service sushi restaurant serving premium, made-to-order hand rolls. By the September update it was listed as open.

Pizza Guys is a few doors down at 18653 Yorba Linda Boulevard. It held its grand opening on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and serves scratch-made pizzas and wings. The franchisee is local entrepreneur Sameh Mekhaiel, according to QSR Magazine's July 2026 coverage of the opening. With SHO Handroll Bar next door, that corner of Yorba Linda Boulevard and Lakeview gained two new places to eat in about a month.

Sourdough & Co. was open at Yorba Linda Town Center by June 9, making sandwiches on freshly baked sourdough. Its location page gives the address as 18341 Imperial Highway. Bell's Head Spa, a scalp-treatment and facial studio, opened at Town Center around the same time.

None of these openings needed a historic building renovated first, and that turns out to matter.

Why the Main Street projects take longer

The Artisan by Terra has been in development for more than three years, according to Saba. What Now Orange County reported that much of that time went to renovating a historic structure, which meant working out infrastructure needs and coordinating with several property owners and easements before construction could fully begin. A shopping-center suite usually comes with utilities already in place and a single landlord. A historic Main Street building may need both worked out first.

The Artisan is worth the wait if the plans hold. The space is set up mainly for retail and takeout. Plans include:

  • A butcher counter selling dry-aged cuts, with dry aging and meat fabrication done on-site
  • A curing room for house-made salami
  • A deli and meat case
  • Gelato made in-house
  • A café counter with artisan sandwiches, house-made pasta, fresh bread, pastries, and morning coffee
  • Beer and wine to drink there or take home

Some of the dry-aged cuts at the counter may also be served at Terra across the street. In February, What Now Orange County reported that Terra had been on Main Street for nearly seven years with a Mediterranean-inspired, wood-fired menu.

Broken Yolk Café has a similar status. In June, the City called it "Main Street's newest breakfast spot" and said it was under construction. In September, it was listed as bringing breakfast and brunch to Main Street, still under "Coming Soon." The company's own location page already lists 4901 Main Street and describes breakfast, brunch, and lunch service, but it gives no opening date. The listing shows that the café is planned. It doesn't show that the kitchen is serving yet.

Off Main Street, the Imperial Highway project is also waiting

The slow pace isn't limited to Main Street. Angelica's Table is a family-owned Mexican restaurant from Israel and Delia Gonzalez. It's going into 18246 Imperial Highway at Yorba Linda Station Shopping Center, the space where Versai Kitchen & Wine Bar used to be. In February 2026, What Now Orange County reported the owners were aiming for the beginning of April. On September 8, the City still had it under "Coming Soon," describing family recipes and authentic Mexican food. No source found during research gives a new date or a reason for the delay, so check with the restaurant directly before you plan a dinner there.

The other two names on the list are on different timelines. Pilates Addiction is coming to Eastlake Village Center, with no date given. Slick City, an indoor action park with dry slides, air courts, and jumping zones, is planned for Savi Ranch in 2027.

Making a Main Street evening work right now

The Main Street storefronts that are already open are a short walk from where you'll park. The Town Center Parking Structure is at 18423 Arroyo Way. Event organizers for this year's Boots on Main listed it as all-day parking. According to the Orange County Register, the four-story structure opened in November 2018 as free parking with EV charging, with entrances from Lemon Drive and School Street. The Register counted 446 stalls. A Los Angeles Times story from earlier that year put it at 430 spaces.

The City's June update also named MADE Coffee as Yorba Linda's Business of the Quarter.

The next big date on Main Street's calendar is Holiday on Main, on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 4 to 9 p.m. The Main Street Merchants Association lists it as free and open to the public. Its schedule doesn't show any Main Street events in October or November. The separate Holiday on Main website still shows the December 6, 2025 date, so go by the association's listing. With Holiday on Main two months out, it's the next point at which The Artisan or Broken Yolk could have its doors open for a Main Street crowd. No source confirms either one will be open by then.

Checking a "coming soon" before you drive over

Coming-soon signs and listings can stay up for months, so a quick check saves a wasted trip:

  1. Start with the City's most recent Shop, Dine, and Support update. It's the one source that tracks every opening on this list.
  2. Then go to the business's own page or social account. A location page with no hours, like Broken Yolk's Yorba Linda page, isn't confirmation that it's open.
  3. For the delayed projects, look for news coverage. What Now Orange County has reported on both The Artisan by Terra and Angelica's Table from the start.
  4. Park in the Town Center structure off Lemon Drive or School Street and walk. That works whether you're going to Terra, Sourdough & Co., or a new spot that just opened.

When The Artisan opens, the slow buildout behind it will be part of what makes it different. Getting a butcher counter, a curing room, and on-site gelato into a historic Main Street building took more than three years of work.
